Service Opportunities
Tau Beta Pi members must perform 3 hours of service each
semester to remain active members. Some local service opportunities
will be listed below when information is available. For more
information on service requirements please contact the
Cataloger. For more information on
service opportunities, please contact the Service Committee Chair.
Contact information for both of those officers is on the Officers
page.
Recycling - The Whittemore
Recycling effort is a volunteer effort that counts
as a service activity. About every two weeks, seven
bin locations spread across the six floors of
Whittemore need to be picked up and sorted into the
three larger bins of white, glossy, and newspaper.
It takes roughly an hour, and your service project
for the semester can be completed by helping out
only two or three times.
We meet on the bottom floor of Whittemore,
across from the vending machine, near the loading
docks and the three bins (our bins) sitting on a
cart. If you can't stay for the whole time, it is
fine to leave early for partial credit. Coming in
late might not work so well, as you will have to
find us somewhere on any of the six
floors.
If you are interested, please contact Jenn.
Spring Break service trip to the Gulf Coast - Email Brian Neely for more information.
CEE Career Fair Volunteers - CEE Students:
