Recognition

We know that you have probably received offers from other honor societies and professional organizations. All of them (including us) tell you that membership will boost your resume. What's so prestigious about Tau Beta Pi, then? TBP is the second-oldest honor society in the United States. If you've heard about Phi Beta Kappa, you might consider TBP to be its equivalent for engineering. In addition, TBP is the only engineering honor society that represents the entire engineering profession.
